John Died…
Read More…
When John was a kid, his mother always told him he had a gift for helping people, understanding them, and even seeing things they couldn't see through their eyes. Unfortunately, she never got to see who he is today, because when John heard this, he brought it up to his wife at the time who said:
"Get a Real Job."
Heeding her advice, John unwittingly joined the corporate world, where he worked, worked, and worked till he was exhausted, only to come home and argue more and more and more…
But things took a nasty turn when John had a divorce…
John started drinking… A Lot…The sadness, the denial, the shame, it was all swallowed
with the liquor…
This decline not only affected his health, culminating in a critical diagnosis of cirrhosis,
but also posed significant challenges for his employer.
Failing to hit quotas, John eventually quit…
"If you keep this up, you'll live for at most 2 months longer." Doctors told him.
It hit John like a tidal wave, but rather than surrendering, he "chose life," as he put it.
John thought back to his late mother, whose courageous
battle with lymphoma remained etched in his memory.
He repeated to himself: "If I Can Be Half As Strong As Her, I'll Be Alright."
John faced countless physical and emotional tests—two strokes,
life support, a five-day coma, a full-blown liver transplant.
Not to mention the aftermath of the divorce…
Returning to the world after all of these challenges, John found himself changed.
Thinking back to his mother's words and his affected career
John decided to start at the breaking point: Relationships!
